The City of Checotah has been placed under a burn ban for the next 14 days. During this time the limb pile dropoff for the City will be closed.

The Checotah water department will be repairing a main water line into town over the next hour. They don't think there will be any major outages but you may experience low pressure. They expect to have the line repaired by 330 pm today. Thank you for your patience.

Tomorrow Wednesday July 22 Creek Nation will begin an overlay project in Paul Carr drive. They will shut down parts of the road Wednesday and Thursday to work on the project. Please try to avoid that area during construction. Thank you for your Patience.
