There has been a 12 inch main water line break coming from the water plant. This will affect a big portion of the town. You will experience low to no water pressure. This is a main line to town. They are hopeful to have it back in service by 2pm. Thanks for your patience.

The City of Checotah will be shutting down Paul Carr drive on Tuesday July 14th from First Family Credit Union to the Checotah HS and on South Ave from McIntosh to Paul Carr! This will be closed most of the day. Thank you for your patience while we repair the roads.

Public notice: The Splash pad at the complex will be shut down at 645 pm tonight! We are aware of the concerns so to help we will be closing the splash pad early. The constant rain this last week and the Hot days has contributed to some slick spots. Thank you for your concerns and we will update you when it is reopened! We had hoped to be able to take care of this without having to shut down the splash pad but with the public out cry on social media we decided it best just to shut it down.

Scam Alert: If you receive a phone call that the City of Checotah is offering some kind of Insurance policy do not talk to them. This is a scam. The City of Checotah is offering no such type of Insurance. Thank you and please help share with those around you.
