Ross Construction has informed the City of Checotah that the street project has been moved to next week. If APAC confirms product availability, everything will be done during the nights starting at 6:00pm.

Major water line break on the northwest side of town. The NW side and possibly the NE side could experience little to no water pressure. At this time, there is no ETA for repair. Crews are actively working to fix the break.

The Northeast and Northwest sides of Checotah will experience little to no water due to a water leak. Crews are working to get the leak fixed as quickly as possible. Estimated time is 2 hours.
There is a water leak on the NW side of town. Crews are working to locate the line and repair the leak. Estimated time is 4 hours.
Traffic is being diverted from I -40 causing more traffic than normal downtown. Please be patient as crews are working to clear I-40 and get traffic back to normal.
Beginning at 1:00 PM, customers may experience little to no water for approximately 2 hours while crews make a necessary repair.

5k starts at 7 A.M tomorrow and events will be held all day. Band plays at 7:45 P.M. and Fireworks start at 9:45.

City Maintenance crews will be picking up limbs the week of July 8-12. Please have limbs cut in manageable pieces that can be loaded into a truck. Please place limbs by the street for crews to pickup.
Several have asked about the lawn mower races on the 4th of July. There is a spot for them if there is enough interest. Classes will be arranged by the mowers. If you want to race, you MUST bring your own mower. No zero turn mowers and no tractors. We are looking forward to a day of fun at the Sports Complex.
EDIT: Ideas for sponsors: $5 and $10 gift cards for the kids to McDonalds, Sonic, or Pizza Hut would be great and T-shirts to be thrown out by the band. If anyone would like to sponsor the band, please let me know.
