The main water plant for Checotah is down. While it is being fixed we ask that all citizens and consumers of Checotah water please try to conserve your water usage. You may begin to experience low pressure and at some point complete loss of water. We ask that you please limit your use overnight and through the morning while this is being attended to. Thank you!

Splash pad is closed down today while the water plant is fixed.

You may experience little to no water pressure while the Checotah main water plant is down. Currently working to fix the issue but no timeframe is given. This will affect all Checotah water districts and those that receive water from Checotah.

Next Tuesday June 10th the Northwest and Southwest sides of town will experience no water from 4pm till 10pm while a new water line connection is made. Please be in preparation for this to happen. Please call City Hall with any questions . Thank you!

There will be a main water line that is being repaired that feeds both sides of town. Please begin to make plans to experience this outage next week. With more storms expected we have prepared to open the shelter. Storm shelter is located at the Checotah Jr High School should anyone need to take cover over night. It is the tan building north of Truman Dixon Gym. If you shelter in place remember to go to the innermost part of your home.
